Penny Garner joined the panel of dementia experts at the Times Cheltenham Literature Festival on 7th October for a discussion on Dementia, Memory and Age at the invitation of Professor Dany Nobus, the Festival’s Psychologist in Residence.  The three panellists – Penny, Gordon Wilcox (Emeritus Professor of Geratology, University of Oxford) and David Wilkinson (Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry, Southampton) outlined their views on how memory loss affects individuals suffering from dementia and what they believed could be done to alleviate the problem.

Chairman Dany Nobus later described the atmosphere as ‘electrifying’ and thanked Penny for the immense contribution her insights made to the quality of the debate.
